Published by Julian under on 23:59

Happy New Year

Establish Brands Have Greatest Stories

Published by Julian under on 08:38

I have joined a lecture of "Branding" by Simon Kings, an Operation Director of an international design company "IMAGINATION". This lecture was held by the faculty of Art and Desgn, the purpose was to let design students understand "What the global design company is and its operation". IMAGINATION stresses on integrated service and work together, the essential thing of the company is "communication",and delivery it everywhere in the world.

Simon provided 4 cases that completed by IMAGINATION: Coca-Cola's Life House, Ford Aurora, Guiness' Store House and Samsung's Brand Centre. There are many important concepts bellow that I heard in the lecture:

1. Value is in customer experience not in the product.
2. Create a venue to motivate ideas-exchange and communicate with people.
3. Engage with "adorers" and "rejectors".
4. Create new discussing topics to the public.
5. Create an experienc that defines a new era of designn through the integration of
interactive and retail solutions. (Samsung)
6. Marketing cost -> Experiential ventures.
7. Design new methodologies and metrics.

This lecture made me to observe the difference of thinking in branding between marketers and designers, current marketing companies are stress on communication and integration to brainstorm creative ideas to approach the succeed. A creative team with different brackgrounds of members such as designers, marketers, architects, even engineers. Additionally, communication also have to be launched between marketers and customers, interactive with people can motivate more and more ideas be created and exchanged. I think this lecture is helpful for me to prepare before working. Finally, the most impact sentence of this lecture to me is:

"Establish Brands Have Greatest Stories".

Do I need a English name?

Published by Julian under on 23:31

例如梁詠琪叫做Gigi(原名梁碧枝,GI是枝的廣東話發音)
例如侯主播就叫做Patty(佩)

Rikin

Ju Li Han

Zhou
